Jane Vincent (Training Manager)

Jane has more than 14 years experience as an adult educator
and more than 20 years experience as a farmer. As the Training
Manager at QRS, Jane is responsible for all aspects of quality
training design, development, delivery and evaluation. She also
delivers the weed components of several QRS courses & components
of the Whole Farm Planning course.

Prior to establishing QRS, Jane worked as a Natural Resource Management program coordinator and trainer with CIT Solutions Rural Training Centre.
With her husband, she jointly manages a beef cattle property at Gundaroo, running 150 breeding cows and a small flock of first cross ewes. She has a keen interest in the environment, and is an active member of Sutton Landcare. Jane holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Adult Education from the University of Canberra and Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training from the Canberra Institute of Technology.

Tiffany Royds - Training
Co-ordinator
Tiffany Royds joined the QRS team in February 2005. Providing
invaluable administrative and clerical support she helps to co-ordinate
both the training schedule and organisation of individual courses
over the Goulburn and South Coast Regions. An essential
tool in the QRS training regime is its database and Tiffany plays
a key role in its maintenance.
Tiffany has a Bachelor of Arts in Secretarial Studies from the Canberra College of Advanced Education (now Bachelor of Office Communication at Canberra University). With twenty years administrative and clerical experience in areas such as management consulting (both in Australia and overseas) and later working for the Department of Land & Water Conservation in Braidwood, she provides a breadth of clerical knowledge and administrative support that has helped QRS to grow steadily. |
Peter Simpson (Trainer)
Peter Simpson, formerly Regional Director NSW Agriculture (now NSW DPI) for the South-East region, was with NSW Agriculture for 42 years, primarily as an Agronomist. He was heavily involved with whole farm systems and the management of native and introduced pastures. Other work included the evaluation of organic and inorganic fertilisers and the impact of these on livestock production. He also undertook extensive economic assessment of wool and sheep meat management systems.
Peter runs a property near Goulburn with 1000 fine
and superfine Merino sheep. This farm is run on sound whole farm
management principles. Since retirement he has been running his
property, working extensively with his Landcare group and teaching
part-time both in the rural vocational training sector and with
QRS, where he co-presents Prograze & delivers the Identification
and Management of Native Grass pastures for Agriculture and Conservation.
His qualifications include Dip. Agric. (Hawkesbury), Diploma Rural Extension (Hawkesbury), Prograze presenter, ChemCert level 4 and Master Tree Growers Program from the University of Melbourne (this course inspired him to revegetate his farm on a whole farm basis and plant an Agroforestry block).
He is currently undertaking his Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
Peter has outstanding specialist knowledge in many areas, namely wool and sheep meat production, all aspects of pasture management, and profit drivers of the wool and sheep industry. |

Alison is an environmental scientist with two decades experience in adult education and environmental management. She has been involved with numerous Diplomas in Applied Science, to developing and presenting a variety of specialty courses, workshops, field days and seminars for Landcare and farming groups, CIT Solutions, ACT and NSW government and local councils.. These courses include whole farm planning, dams and wetlands on farms, land rehabilitation techniques, and conversion to organic farming.
Her qualifications include a BSc, Graduate Diplomas in Education and Communication, a Diploma in Herbal Medicine, and Certificates in Trade Waste Management. She has a passionate interest in sustainable agriculture, producing certified organic beef and lamb with her husband from their farms near Yass and Cootamundra.
Alison will be presenting the Whole Farm Planning
course for QRS, with related farming courses in the pipeline.

Robyn House (Materials development)
Robyn is an adult educator with extensive experience in the design and development of high quality training materials and competency standards. Robyn's clients have included Agsafe, ACT Department of Training and Adult Education, Australian Government Department of Defence, University of Canberra College and a number of Industry Training Advisory Bodies. (ITABs).
Robyn provides technical writing expertise for QRS projects such as StockPlan® and Protect Your Flock.
Robyn has a Diploma in TAFE Teaching, Diploma in Training and Assessment Systems, a Certificate IV in Tertiary Education and Training, Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and is a qualified workplace assessor. She is currently completing her qualification in quality auditing and is undertaking a B. Communication (Hons) (U. Can).
Robyn is also a practising farmer in mid-western NSW and in 2006 will commence studies in Landcare and natural resource management, focusing on bush regeneration. |
Pamela Smith
Pamela has been actively involved in all aspects of property management for the past 20 years on the family property at Condobolin. From 1999 to 2001 she formed Property Management Planning groups throughout the Western Division, facilitating and delivering for the eight-day Farming for the Future workshop series.
Pam currently works at Murrumbidgee Rural Studies Centre, Condobolin Adult Education and Central West Community College as a Workplace trainer. She has a BA in Library and Info Science, from Charles Sturt Univ. and has recently upgraded to a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment .

Jean Smith
Jean was only recently based with NSW DPI at Trangie Research
Station as Livestock Officer (Beef products), and her current
Master's study in Environmental Management, indicates her extensive
interest in NRM issues. In 2005 Jean worked with QRS on the
StockPlan® project, developing the Facilitator's Guide.
Jean has an Honours Degree in Applied Science (Agriculture) from Charles Sturt Univ. She has a Certificate IV Assessment and Workplace Training, having been extensively involved with training while working with NSW DPI. Jean is currently the joint owner/manager of the family property at Condobolin
